Ummm, for fear of stoking another flame war, please don't take this wrong, but the music I have come down to "really caring about" is released more on CD than anything else. I speak of labels like Planet Dog, Infonet, Beyond, GPR, and of course Astralwerks. My guess is that there may be a sort of backlash against vinyl simply because it is a dance format. These artists and labels want you to LISTEN to the music and not futz with it or write it off as dancefloor fodder.
